I. Objectives
The main intention behind the proposed market yard is to facilitate the Farmers and Traders for buy and sale of the Agriculture commodities. It aims to ensure ONE STOP SHOPPING at the Market yard by providing all the ancillary services such as electronic and Spot Auction, Packaging, storage, pricing, processing, Spot payment etc. This will ease the Farmers and Traders in dealing with the goods.
Apart from that, this market will also provide competitive platform to the farmers which will get them appropriate market price for their produce and against that the Traders will have better options to get the better quality commodities at competitive prices.
Due to this the Society at large will also be benefited as establishment of this Market yard will develop the other surrounding rural villages. It would require support of ancillary services which are expected to be arranged from nearby villages. So it will also create the employment opportunities too. It is expected that it will generate, directly or indirectly, employment to more than 100 people. So in all, it would increase the income of villagers and in turn will develop the standard of living of villagers.

VILLAGE – PILUDA is located in the Tharad Taluka of Banaskantha District. Which is one of fastest developing District.

Banaskantha District’s Economy depends largely on agriculture and trade. Current APMC is not functioning proper due to insufficient facilities. All the farmers approach. Banaskantha District to auction their products.

The Banaskantha district ranks first in the state in the production of vegetables contributing nearly 20% to the total vegetable production of Gujarat. It is the largest producer of potatoes in the state. Bajri, Maize, Tobacco, Castor oil, Jowar, Psyllium are the other major crops of the district. It is also one of the leading producers of Isabgul (Psyllium husk) in the country.

Proposed Project

The project is promoted by group of farmers from Tharad Taluka, District Banaskantha, Gujarat. All of the promoters are farmers by birth and having vide knowledge in the fields of sowing, cultivating, harvesting, distributing and marketing of aggriculture products.

The project envisages setting up of a Private APMC in the village Piluda, Ta – Tharad, Dist - Banaskantha, Gujarat to facilitate the Farmers and Traders to buy and sale their Agriculture commodities.

The proposed project envisages 100 entrepreneurs to set up units in the APMC.

It aims to ensure ONE STOP SHOPPING at the Market yard by providing all the ancillary services such as electronic and Spot Auction, Packaging, storage, pricing, processing, Spot payment etc. This will ease the Farmers and Traders in dealing with the goods.

The project will also create competition with the present APMC, which will not make farmers vulnerable to traders’ and marketing agents’ price mechanism.
IV. Location
The proposed 60880 Square meters for the APMC is located in the Village-Piluda, nearby Tharad, Dist. Banaskantha. The site is strategically located on the Vaibhav Complex, Highway 3 Roads, Tharad-384 565. Dist. Banaskantha, Gujarat which provides an easy access to important cities like Deesa, Dhanera, Palanpur, Vav, Deodhar Bhildi and Srihori.
